Milonga Online Classical Guitar Lesson
Agustin Barrios Mangore was a guitarist & composer extraordinaire from Paraguay. He was a prolific writer and thankfully many of his works were rescued from obscurity by the tireless workhorse John Williams.
The piece itself is in the style of the Barcarole sung by the gondoliers of Venice and although this piece is written in 3/4 the standard time signature for a barcarolla is 6/8.
My arrangement has complete fingering suggestions for both hands to guide you through the piece from beginning to end.

Introduction
Milonga by Jorge Cardoso is a mesmerising and hypnotic piece full of understated charm and beauty. Written in the key of D minor in standard tuning the piece uses a steady flow of semiquaver arpeggios with a syncopated melody. There is a colourful use of accidentals that permeate the piece creating that joyous tension that we have come to associate with much of the guitar music from South America.
